September 10 Meeting: Bees and Your Garden

What’s all the buzz about? Bees, of course. Master beekeeper Dennis Arp of Mountain Top Honey Co. will be our presenter at the September meeting of the Flagstaff Flower & Garden Club. Arp is the expert on small flying pollinators ~ bees, wasps, yellow jackets, etc. ~ and he’ll be talking about what they do for the plant world and how we can draw them into our gardens. He’ll also talk about the decline of the honeybee population, the rise of Africanized bees … and honey, wonderful honey.
Dennis is a honey pro; that’s made very clear by the first-place and best-of-show ribbons he recently received for his honeycombs at the Coconino County Fair (and by a single taste of his bees’ honey).
