October 1 meeting: Bring the Outdoors In for Winter

Frost outlines fallen leavesAs frost warnings lurk in the near future, our outdoor gardening efforts turn to harvest and protection. This month’s meeting will focus on the protection aspect of fall gardening.
One way to protect our outdoor plants through the winter is to bring them indoors. Zach Quinn, the outdoor green-goods manager at Warner’s Nursery in Flagstaff, will talk about which plants we can bring indoors, what “indoors” might mean and how to successfully make the transition. He’ll also give us some tips and tricks for protecting the plants we can’t bring indoors from the fickle Flagstaff winters.
