Sign Up for Riordan Mansion Decorating Party and Dinner!

Our annual Deck the Halls at Riordan Mansion event will be held, as usual, the Monday before Thanksgiving ~ Monday, Nov. 24.
This is a special event for FFGC members and guests, both because it is one of our main community outreach projects and because we get access to the mansion to decorate it.
2012-11 FFGC at Riordan 42We’ll also hold our annual dinner right before the Riordan Mansion decorating party ~ at Oregano’s Pizza Bistro, 605 W. Riordan Road, Flagstaff.
The dinner will begin at 5 p.m. (if that’s a little early for you, come as soon as you can).
The decorating party will begin at 6 p.m. or thereabouts at Riordan Mansion, 409 W. Riordan Road.
We will be taking sign-ups at this month’s meeting  for those who plan to join us for the festivities. We hope you can make it!
The sign-up sheet for the materials we will need to decorate the mansion, and to reserve a spot at the dinner will be available at the November meeting; it’s also attached below. You can email club President Star Hunter at hunterstar@mac.com or call her at 928-637-4401 to let her know that you will be attending and what you choose to bring.

Riordan Mansion Update

The barrels lining the walkway have been planted, and the Mansion is open daily for docent-led tours this summer. A big THANK YOU! to Warner’s Nursery & Landscape Company for donating one new barrel and selling another to us at half price; they really spruce up the display. Check out the barrels and the mansion; that’s where we’ll be hosting the Northern District meeting of the Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs in September. See below for details.
